Shannonbridge GAA Club Notes

Club Social Night.

Over one hundred club members and supporters enjoyed a very successful social in the Old Fort Restaurant on Saturday night. The club awards were presented for the 2009 season. The Senior Player of the Year award went to John Ryan and the Junior Player of the Year was Eddie Egan. A special award went to Damien Brazil in recognition of being named Offaly Referee of the Year 2009. Congratulations and well done to all three.

Fixtures.

Shannonbridge kick off their league campaigns next weekend with the Intermediate team away to Daingean, on Saturday, at 4.30pm. The junior team play Kilclonfert, at the away venue, on Sunday, at 12 noon.

Sympathy.

The club would like to express their sincerest sympathies to the following on their recent bereavements:
To Elaine and Declan Rohan on the death of Elaine’s father Kevin Kenny. And also to Gerry Quirke on the death of his grandfather Matthew Quirke.
