The recently formed Shannonbridge Golf Society had a very successful and enjoyable outing to Birr Golf Club on Saturday. Thirty three players took part in a team scramble competition with the winners as follows: 1st. Mick Kitt, Larry Rohan and Hubert Darcy, 2nd. Cathal Rogers, Oliver Hilliard and David Fitzpatrick, 3rd. Jim Killeen, Harry Gunning and Ciara Finn. Many thanks to Mike Horan, Birr Golf Shop, for his sponsorship.
The society's committee is: Captain - Jim Killeen, Secretary - Oliver Hilliard, Treasurer - Mary Kelly, Handicap Secretaries - Vinnie Costello and Cathal Rogers.
