Visited Father John Higgins in the priest's retirement home in Ballinasloe last Saturday and found him busy preparing a sermon. Jokingly I said he should buy Bishop Joe Cassidy's book and he turned over These Might Help which is a wonderful collection of suggestions and ideas for each Sunday based over a three year cycle and every priest should have a copy. Father Higgins is in fine form and he was pointing out the new building close by which is being built for Portiuncula retired nuns.
