This morning local projects were visited by an inspector regarding their application for West Offaly funding. Included were The Library, The Lockhouse Visitor Center, Teamphal Graveyard and Fishing access and amenities. They had already visited ten others when they got to Shannonbridge. Pauric Boland the local co-ordinator for our area was enquiring how Shannonbridge Tidy Towns were doing and saying that with a bit of push we might even win the competition. Think he was a bit surprized that there was no application for funding or had we gone to sleep.
